Tatyana Beloborodova of Russia has been suspended in a doping scandal.
The Russian medal have reported that Beloborodova gave a drug testing sample at the 2005 World Championships which upon retesting, was found to be positive.
In the past Tatyana has served a two-year ban for steroid use (2007). This possible second offence could leave her permanently banned from competition. This ban has the potential to disrupt her Olympic gold medal that she win in 2012.
Along with an olympic gold medal, Tatyana Lysenko (former name) has also won two World titles and is a former world record holder in the hammer throw.
Russia is currently banned from all international track and field competitions, after the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) commission 6 months ago revealed systematic, state-wide doping.
Samples from older competitions, including the Olympics, are often retested years later to allow them to be examined with the most modern equipment available.
