Rares Toader Training Blog January 6th

Hello everyone! I am very proud to be writing these words for you.

I am Rares Toader from Romania. I am 18 years old and I love Shot Put. I obtained a second place at the Youth Olympic Games in 2014. And a second place at the European Junior Championships in 2015 along with a bronze medal at the European Throwing Cup U23.

Now I am currently in a training camp with the best shot putter from Romania, Andrei Gag (pb: 20.96m) and that is great for me. I am focused for the new season ahead and for the IAAF World Junior Championships this year. I also want to go to the Olympic Games and I hope to make the standard this winter.

I think I am very powerful and I work very hard for explosion and technique. My personal bests in the weight room are:

Bench Press – 210kg

Squat – 250kg

Deadlift – 230kg
