Alyssa Wilson New Under 20 World Shot Put Lead & National Champion

Alyssa Wilson recently broke the Under 18 US National Record and she has further proved that she is able to handle the open weight shot put. At the New Balance HS Nationals Alyssa Wilson had a very successful competition.

Alyssa Wilson threw 17.00 metres (55’9.25″) with the 4kg shot put to cement herself as the national outdoor champion. Along with this shot put throw being a new Personal Record, it is also an Under 20 World Leading Throw for this year so far.

Alyssa came 2nd in the Discus and 3rd in the Hammer Throw.

It will definitely be interesting to see how Alyssa throws at the JR nationals this weekend in Cali where she will be throwing Shot Put, Discus and Hammer.
