So here we are, 4 weeks since winning the Indoor national title. Training has continued to improve, and after throwing a new Personal Best, I seem to have had a massive boost, not only in the gym but also in my throwing!
Things are all heading towards the outdoors now, my training is starting to adapt ready for it, I head warm weather training in a weeks time for a few weeks with my coach and training group! Cannot wait to have a bit of son on my back and to become more inspired and motivated that comes with being in the Warm weather training camp environment!
Being surrounded by people training hard, being motivated to be better always sets up nicely for some big increases in my own training. On my return it will be all systems go getting ready for the biggest and most successful season iv had to date. My targets are set, and cant wait to smash them!
I find its always beneficial to set more than 1 goal or target. This year I have set a few. The goals I have set will hopefully help me to increase my distance without putting pressure on myself. I may write about my goals once iv broken them, but for now they are purely for me and my coach to work towards and get motivated for.
We go warm weather training to the same resort we have for the last 5 years, my coach has even been going longer than that. We are familiar with the area, the people and the facilities. I feel I have come a long way since this time last year and long may it continue! I will continue to take one stepping stone at a time and keep you updated with it all as it happens.
So…what else has been going on.Thursday night I went to a local Awards night. The Active York Sports Awards, thrilled to take home the Sportsman of the Year award for the second year running, this time however I wasn’t away so I could pick up the award for myself!
Thanks for reading,
