5. Andrei Mikhnevich
Born 12th July 1976, Andrei is a Belarusian shot Putter with a personal best of 21.69metres. Mikhnevich began competing globally in Track and Field in 1999 and attended the 2000 Summer Olympics held in Sydney. During 2001, he was banned for a doping offence. After a two-year suspension he became the shot put world champion at the 2003 IAAF World Championships. Likewise he went on to win Bronze at the 2007 World Championships along with another bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
In 2012 IAAF retested doping samples from the 2005 World Athletics Championship and Mikhnevich was found positive for 3 anabolic steroids: Clenbuterol, Methandienone and Oxandrolone. As a result of his positive doping sample he was banned for life from the sport and his results from August 6th 2005 onwards were annulled.
