Hi everyone,
I am currently in Australia (New South Wales) for a training camp. The camp is around 7 weeks long. I am mainly out here to be able to throw with a couple of quality throwers (Christie who was in the Commonwealth Final in 2014 and Dani Samuels who won the Comm Games in 2014 and the World Champs in 2009). So they make for very good training partners! Also it is important to me to be able to work with people with similar ethos, not just abilities. NSWIS (New South Wales Institute Of Sport) have been brilliant at helping me with somewhere to train, they did the same for me last year too! It’s made a massive difference and I cant thank them enough.
I am also out here to compete. I am down to do 4 meets. The first is the Hunter Classic in Newcastle. Then NSW State Champs in Sydney. Then I’ll fly to Auckland to compete there. Finally, 5th March is the Melbourne World Challenge. I haven’t done that one before so that will be fun. I’m excited to see what I can do out here. It’s my first winter for a few years without any medical issues with kidney stones or anything else obscure!
