The Adidas Throwstar are exactly as they are labelled, “an ideal shoe for the high school thrower.” All in all these shoes do what they are built for and provide a starting point for throwing shoes that doesn’t cost you a lot of money. These shoes are extremely grippy and flexible, thus providing a steeping stone shoe. Grippy enough so they allow beginners to stay on their feet but enough speed so they can still execute a spin/glide while not feeling like a pair of running shoes. Because of the extremely grippy and slow nature of the shoes they are not recommended for hammer throwers however some throwers such as Great Britain up and comer Taylor Campbell use this shoe exclusively. This proves the point that any throwing shoe can be used at any level of throwing.
