1. Throwing Shoes
Obviously a vital part of throwing are shoes! These are extremely important and if you do not bring your shoes you are going to suffer. I remember a competitor who forgot his throwing shoes at a local meet I attended. No one had a spare pair of shoes in his size (US 16). It’s safe to say that he didn’t throw the best that day in regular sneakers.
Another handy tip is make sure that the laces are undone prior to your competition. I have had the unfortunate luck of getting ready to compete, only to find my shoe laces in a knot. This resulted in a panic to frantically get them undone so I could have warm up throws and compete.
